Academic Support Unit for Information and Communication Technology
Service Purpose
The Domain and Web Hosting Request Service is provided by the ICT Academic Support Unit of Riau University to support publication needs, information dissemination, and both academic and non-academic activities within the university environment.
Institutions, faculties, departments, study programs, work units, and student organizations may submit requests for official domains and web hosting services under the main domain
unri.ac.id.
Application Requirements
Please make sure all required information is provided:
Requested Domain Type
Organization / Activity Name
The official name of the organization or activity that will use the domain.
Person in Charge Details
- Full name & Employee ID / Student ID
- Active phone number
- UNRI email address
Proposed Domain Name
Must follow the official UNRI domain structure.

A Via Helpdesk
- 1Access helpdesk.unri.ac.id and log in using your UNRI email account.
- 2Select Create New Ticket, then choose the Domain & Hosting category.
- 3Upload the signed application form.
B Via SINDE
- 1Prepare an official letter through sinde.unri.ac.id addressed to the Head of the ICT Academic Support Unit.
- 2Attach the completed application form.
- 3Submit it for disposition and verification.
Approval & Follow-Up Process
Verification by the ICT Academic Support Unit
Review of document completeness, data validation, and confirmation of the availability of the proposed domain name.
Registration & Setup
Once approved, the domain will be registered in the system and the web hosting service will be configured.
Access Delivery
Activation details and hosting panel access will be delivered through:

- •Any change in management or person in charge must be reported to the ICT Academic Support Unit.
- •Domains that remain inactive for more than 6 months without prior notice may be temporarily suspended.
- •All domain usage must comply with Riau University’s IT policies and digital ethics standards.
- •Applicants are fully responsible for the security, content, and management of their respective websites.
