Optimism and Innovation: UPA TIK Workshop Drives Continuous Improvement in IT Services

The Information and Communication Technology Service Unit (UPA TIK) of Universitas Riau held the 2025 UPA TIK Performance Report Preparation Meeting on December 9–10, 2025. The activity was conducted at Hotel Royal Asnof and served as an important momentum to evaluate performance achievements while formulating strategies to strengthen information technology services in a sustainable manner within the Universitas Riau environment.

The meeting was attended by the leadership and the entire UPA TIK team, reflecting a strong spirit of collaboration and shared commitment. In addition to serving as an annual evaluation forum, the activity also became a space for reflection on the increasingly strategic role of UPA TIK in supporting the university’s information systems and digital services.

The Head of UPA TIK, Ibnu Daqiqil ID, S.Kom., M.T.I., Ph.D, in his opening remarks, conveyed that throughout 2025 Universitas Riau demonstrated growing appreciation and trust in the performance of UPA TIK. This was evident from the increased utilization of information systems as well as the rising dependence of various work units on the information technology services managed by UPA TIK.

“In 2025, Universitas Riau has increasingly experienced the tangible benefits of UPA TIK services. Various academic and administrative activities have been greatly supported by the information systems and services we manage. This shows that UPA TIK plays an important role in supporting the smooth operation of daily university activities,” said Ibnu Daqiqil.

He added that this trust serves as a strong motivation for the entire UPA TIK team to continuously improve service quality, strengthen innovation, and adapt to dynamic technological developments.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Information Systems Division presented positive developments in the helpdesk application service. He explained that the number of complaints submitted throughout 2025 had decreased significantly. This decline serves as an indicator that the quality of UPA TIK systems and services has continued to improve and become more responsive to user needs.

“The reduction in complaints submitted through the helpdesk application reflects improved system stability and service effectiveness. This is the result of continuous improvement efforts and strong teamwork,” he explained.

Through this meeting, UPA TIK compiled a comprehensive performance report while also formulating follow-up action plans to enhance services in the future. With a spirit of optimism, togetherness, and professionalism, UPA TIK remains committed to continuing its role as a leading unit in supporting the sustainable digital transformation of Universitas Riau.
