Universitas Riau’s commitment to realizing transparent and accountable public information disclosure continues to be strengthened through the strategic role of the Academic Supporting Unit for Information and Communication Technology (UPA TIK). This commitment was reflected in the Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) activity conducted by the Universitas Riau PPID Team on the management of public information at PPID UPA TIK. During this activity, the Head of UPA TIK, Ibnu Daqiqil ID, S.Kom., M.T.I., Ph.D, delivered a presentation on the availability and management of public information at PPID UPA TIK on December 11, 2025, held at UPA TIK Universitas Riau. This presentation served as a reflective moment as well as a reinforcement of the commitment that information disclosure is not merely an administrative obligation, but an essential foundation for building trust, participation, and integrity-based university governance.

Through this monitoring and evaluation activity, the Universitas Riau PPID Team ensured that all public information managed by PPID UPA TIK was available in a complete, verified manner and complied with public information disclosure standards. In addition to assessing information completeness, the team also conducted a direct inspection of PPID service infrastructure to ensure that facilities supporting public information services were adequately available, informative, and easily accessible to the public.

The commitment to public information disclosure is aligned with the systematic and standardized management of information implemented by PPID UPA TIK. The information management process begins with the initial identification of information types, verification of information status, data collection and validation, category classification, and publication through the PPID portal. Public information is classified into immediate information, information available at all times, periodic information, and exempt information in accordance with prevailing laws and regulations, ensuring that the public receives clear, accurate, and accountable information.

All verified public information can be accessed by the public through the PPID UPA TIK Universitas Riau portal. The existence of this portal serves as the primary medium for delivering open, easily accessible public information services that are adaptive to the needs of information requesters, both from the academic community and the general public.

To support the optimization of public information services, UPA TIK Universitas Riau also provides representative physical service facilities. Information regarding organizational structure, vision and mission, service charters, and integrity zone commitments is openly displayed through information boards in the service area. In addition, UPA TIK provides a dedicated PPID room as an offline public information service center, functioning as a space for information requests, consultations, and assistance for public information applicants, supported by competent and professional information officers.

As part of service innovation and efforts to bring information access closer to the public, UPA TIK also provides an information service kiosk that allows users to access public information independently. Through this kiosk, users can browse PPID information, access service portals, and obtain guidance on information requests quickly and efficiently. The presence of this information kiosk represents a tangible manifestation of inclusive, adaptive, and user-oriented public information service transformation.

With the support of digital systems, helpdesk services, information kiosks, PPID rooms, and integrated service infrastructure, UPA TIK Universitas Riau remains committed to continuously improving the quality of public information services. Through the implementation of service standards, a free-of-charge service policy, public satisfaction surveys, and continuous evaluation and improvement, UPA TIK is optimistic about becoming a leading unit in delivering transparent, professional, and trustworthy public information services as part of an excellent university governance framework.
