Pekanbaru, November 23, 2023 – The Population and Civil Registration Office (Disdukcapil) of Riau Province organized the "Jemput Bola Disdukcapil Goes to Campus" program in collaboration with the University of Riau, held at the Information and Communication Technology Technical Implementation Unit (UPT TIK) Building, University of Riau (UNRI). This event served not only as a forum to enhance understanding of civil administration but also provided direct services to students, lecturers, and staff, including the issuance of electronic ID cards (e-KTP) and the activation of Digital Population Identity (IKD).
The "Goes to Campus" outreach program targeted all students, lecturers, and staff within the University of Riau, offering services such as off-domicile ID card printing and Digital Identity (IKD) activation, categorized according to their respective districts/cities. The activities were held over two days, from November 23 to 24, 2023, running from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM local time.
Students, lecturers, and staff who had pre-registered were able to immediately proceed with either the ID card printing or IKD activation process, facilitated through the use of advanced technology. This provided participants with a firsthand experience of how civil administration services can be accessed and completed efficiently.
The event aims to raise public awareness, particularly among students, lecturers, and university staff, about the importance of having valid and properly registered population documents. Moreover, it marks a tangible effort by the government to bring civil registration services closer to the community through collaboration with higher education institutions.
