Universitas Riau once again demonstrates its commitment to supporting the enhancement of national training competencies through intensive mentoring in the Basic Training for Prospective Instructors of BLKK PBL & PBK, a program organized by the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia through the Vocational and Productivity Training Center (BPVP) Medan. This activity also involves the responsibility of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Riau, with all sessions held within the Universitas Riau campus.
The training officially began on October 7 – November 3, 2025, focusing on two flagship programs:
Training Program on Creating Visual Content for Social Media
Training Program on Optimizing Marketing Through Social Media
Through these two programs, participants were equipped not only with technical knowledge of visual content production and digital marketing strategies but also guided to utilize technology as a driver of productivity and community empowerment.
After completing the training sessions, participants entered the On the Job Training (OJT) stage from November 4 – December 1, 2025. At this stage, the UPA TIK Team of Universitas Riau played an active role by providing technical guidance, strategic direction, and hands-on assistance in the field. This approach ensured that participants’ competencies were strengthened not only through theory but also through proven professional practice.
This activity is a concrete manifestation of the synergy between educational institutions, the government, and vocational training implementers in preparing future instructors who are adaptive, creative, and highly competitive in the digital economy era. Through this solid collaboration, Universitas Riau—through UPA TIK—continues to affirm its role as a driving force of impactful digital transformation for the wider community.
