In a step to realize information and communication synergy across all work units and faculties in one integrated platform, Thursday, November 7, 2024, the Information and Communication Technology Technical Implementation Unit (UPT ICT) of the University of Riau held a Website Management Training activity based on the UNRI Content Management System (CMS) in the Implementation of One UNRI which is expected to build a more integrated, efficient system, and make it easier for the public and students to access information quickly and accurately not only on the University website, but also on the websites of Faculties, Study Programs, Units and Institutions under the auspices of the University of Riau. This event was attended by representatives from each Faculty, Institution and Unit of the University of Riau.
The event was opened with remarks from the Vice Chancellor for Planning, Cooperation and Information Systems of the University of Riau Dr. Ir. Sofyan Husein Siregar, M.Phil. In his remarks, he expressed his appreciation to the Head of UPT ICT Ibnu Daqiqil Id, S.Kom., M.T.I, Ph.D who had made changes and developments to the UNRI CMS.
"We are confident that with this training and CMS activity, operators will find it easier to manage websites and have an impact on improving the quality of efficient and integrated information services in delivering information. Hopefully this event will run smoothly and successfully, and provide the greatest benefits for all of us," said Dr. Ir. Sofyan Husein Siregar, M.Phil. He hopes that in the future the UNRI CMS can be developed according to the needs of the University of Riau. In this training, participants were given a technical understanding of website management using a CMS developed specifically for UNRI. The materials presented include content management, display optimization, and information governance so that every website under the auspices of the University of Riau can appear more professional and easily accessible to users. This training was attended by representatives from various faculties, units, and institutions at the University of Riau, with the hope that each unit can manage the information presented on its website independently and effectively.
