Universitas Riau, through the Academic Support Unit for Information and Communication Technology (UPA TIK), continues to stand at the forefront in providing modern, adaptive, and future-oriented information technology services. In 2025, UPA TIK significantly strengthened its organizational structure through the addition of new personnel from the 2024 CPNS Formation, officially inaugurated on June 1, 2025. This strategic step serves as an important effort to respond to increasingly complex digital transformation challenges while expanding service capacity for the entire academic community of Universitas Riau.

This organizational restructuring is not merely about adding personnel, but also about reinforcing institutional foundations so that every division can work more systematically, effectively, and synergistically. UPA TIK now operates with a more solid structure that encompasses leadership and secretariat functions, service and operational management, information systems development, technology infrastructure enhancement, IT governance and digital education, as well as daily technical support. Each area plays a strategic role in ensuring that all information technology services run consistently, responsively, and in accordance with established standards. With this renewed formation, UPA TIK is able to expand coordination capacity, accelerate decision-making processes, and improve service reliability across all work units.
