The Information and Communication Technology Unit (UPA TIK) of Universitas Riau, in collaboration with the Institute for Educational Development and Quality Assurance (LPMPP), continues to advance efforts to strengthen the quality of digital services within the university. On September 30th, both units jointly carried out an initiative to enhance the standards of study program websites, aiming to make them more professional, reliable, and impactful. This initiative began with the standardization of lecturer profiles, particularly focusing on the consistency of official lecturer photos—an essential component of academic website presentation. Through this collaboration, new guidelines were introduced, covering uniformity in attire, photo positioning, visual quality, and overall aesthetics to ensure that lecturer photos across study program websites appear more polished, consistent, and reflective of the institutional identity of Universitas Riau.
In addition to photo standardization, UPA TIK and LPMPP conducted comprehensive data collection for each study program to ensure that the content displayed on their websites remains current and relevant. The collected data includes essential program information, lecturer profiles, curriculum details, learning outcomes, facilities, and other academic information. This step is crucial for UPA TIK in mapping and organizing website content, allowing each study program to be developed in a more structured and needs-based manner. With complete and well-organized data, study program websites are expected to deliver accurate, accessible, and useful information to students, lecturers, prospective students, and the wider community.
This collaboration highlights the shared commitment of UPA TIK and LPMPP to improving information governance and academic publication quality at Universitas Riau. Moving forward, study program websites are expected not only to display a more professional and consistent appearance but also to provide a stronger contribution toward accreditation, academic promotion, and the university’s reputation at both national and international levels.
